Majors are strongly encouraged to spend at least one semester abroad, as this is the only way to truly learn to live in another culture. Study abroad is a natural way to earn credits applying toward the language/area studies requirement. In addition, many of the international programs and universities with which UNLV is affiliated offer courses satisfying business requirements. Opportunities for foreign study are numerous. UNLV is a member of USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium) which operates study abroad sites throughout the world, and has bilateral exchange agreements with numerous other schools. Further information on these and other programs is available from the Office of International Programs.
Students are also encouraged to consider financial aid available through the UNLV Office of International Programs and other sources.
