Description

Drawing on sociological theories and research, examines how various social forces shape experiences, symptoms, patterns of help-seeking, diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses of mental disorders by comparing those across various U.S. social classes, ethnic, gender, and age groups as well as in a global context. This course is crosslisted with SOC 658. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
