Description
Addresses the nature of globalization, and the degree to which it differentially impacts people in various geographical regions and social strata. Traces the extent to which economic, political, and cultural systems rooted in nation-states during most of the twentieth century are likely to be replaced be emerging global institutions. This course is crosslisted with SOC 629. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.Prerequisites
SOC 101 or SOC 102
