A textbook is required for this courseContemporary Political Issues -This course introduces students to a range of contemporary controversies, issues and debates in world politics, with a primary focus on current global problems that present challenges to states and the international system. Within this context of `global problems,? we will learn more about and discuss topics such as, ethnic and civil conflict, nationalism and secession, weak and failed states, human trafficking, CBRNs and WMDs, terrorism and transnational crime, globalization and global climate change.
