A textbook is required for this courseThis is a hybrid class; class is half face-to-face and half online.Borderlands - Mexican Border Policy - This course is an introduction to the topic of immigration policy within the United States. More specifically, it is about how the United States government has developed a militarized border between itself and Mexico. How have immigration laws changed the political landscape of the United States? Are such policies even effective? This course will tackle issues such as these by examining the history of the United States and Mexico border, immigration policies across time, as well as incorporate scientific studies of public opinion, voter turnout, and campaign tactics.
