Description

Explores parasitology and vector biology with an emphasis on public health. Emphasis on parasite diversity, parasite interactions with host immune systems, parasite ecology and behavior, parasite evolution, and parasitic diseases, including Protozoa, Microsporida, Myxozoa, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Nematomorpha, Acanthocephala, Annelida, and Pentastomida. Crosslisted with EOH 664. Credit at the 600 level requires additional work.

Prerequisites

Minimum grade of C in BIOL 189 or 251 or 351. Corequisite PBH 464L
