Description
This course will introduce students to the concepts of health promotion and the tools of health education. Topics will include social and behavioral determinants of health, goals of Healthy People 2020, levels of prevention, philosophies of health education, the relationship between health behavior, health education, and health promotion, and behavioral models in planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion programs.Prerequisites
