Description

This course focuses on the skills of effective leaders and managers with an emphasis on: (1) leadership emergence in work settings; (2) how to lead and manage others effectively; and (3) leadership challenges in the contemporary business landscape such as the intersection of leadership with ethics.

Prerequisites

Lee Business School major, Management minor, or Business Administration minor+

This is an Internet class; refer to Canvas instructions at https://unlv.instructure.com.
Apart from the textbook (which can be bought from the UNLV bookstore or directly from the textbook publisher), this course requires a Mac or PC computer (preferably a Windows PC/laptop) and Internet connection for successful completion. The course may also require a webcam and a microphone. The webcam and microphone may be built into your computer or may be an external camera and microphone. The course may also use the LockDown Browser with or without Monitor for online quizzes/exams. While there is no cost to you to use the software, if Monitor is used, then a webcam will be required. Chromebooks are not compatible for this class.
