Description
This course builds on the First Year Seminar (FYS) to prepare students with skills and knowledge to promote academic success and retention. Major areas of focus include: inquiry and critical thinking skills, communication, global/multicultural awareness, intellectual and life-long learning perspectives, and citizenship and ethics. Anticipated outcomes are: connections with faculty and peers, overall college engagement, and improvement in academic skills.Prerequisites
ENG 101 and 102 or equiv, FYS. For undergraduate degree-seeking students only.
Notes
This is a hybrid class; class is half face-to-face and half online.Students who have not submitted immunization records and students who have accepted online-only agreements are not eligible to enroll in classes with any in-person requirements.
