Here is a quick step-by-step guide:

  1. Apply for graduation with the Office of the Registrar after you’ve registered for your final semester.
  2. Honors Advising will see that you’ve applied and assure that all your Honors requirements have been met.
  3. Mark your calendar for two important events:
    1. UNLV Commencement Ceremony – find your ceremony
    2. Honors College Medallion Ceremony – always the afternoon of the day before commencement
  4. Look for an email from Honors College which includes an Honors-specific graduation packet and important next steps.

About the Medallion Ceremony

We proudly celebrate graduation each semester at our Honors College Medallion Ceremony. This intimate, Honors-only event allows friends and family to gather with Honors faculty, staff and students to individually recognize the accomplishments of our graduates. During this ceremony, we take time to acknowledge each graduate personally while awarding them an Honors medallion. This event always precedes UNLV’s larger commencement ceremony.
