The UNLV Graduate Council approved a multiple article dissertation policy in the Spring of 2015. A multiple article may take many forms but must include a minimum of three under-review, in-press, or published articles reporting on research or scholarship undertaken as a doctoral student at UNLV. In addition to the articles, this format requires an introductory chapter, a concluding chapter, and bridge sections introducing and linking each of the articles to form a cohesive document.
Multiple article dissertations are not an option for all students. Students must be enrolled in a program that explicitly permits this dissertation option in the program handbook. Information regarding the program specific requirements can be found in the same handbook (available via the UNLV Degree Directory).
Details regarding the graduate college multiple article dissertation requirements can be found in the Graduate Catalog (see Degree Progression Policies on the catalog home page).
