Gather with family, friends, advisors, and faculty/staff at private virtual tables
The Doctoral Hooding Reception will be hosted on Remo, a virtual event platform that allows guests to join tables and interact with small groups of people at a time.
In advance of the event, we encourage you to:
- Read this step-by-step guide.
- Complete the one-click system test or follow the checklist to confirm your computer is Remo-ready. We encourage you to use a desktop or laptop computer, not a mobile phone to experience Remo's full functionality. At this time, tablets cannot be used to access Remo.

University Commencement Ceremonies
UNLV will host in-person commencement ceremonies for all 2020 and Spring 2021 graduates from May 13-15. Note that master's, specialist, and doctoral graduates may choose to walk across the stage at their assigned UNLV in-person commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 13 at 8 a.m. at Sam Boyd Stadium. Doctoral graduates will not be hooded at the in-person commencement ceremonies. They will be hooded virtually only during our May 13 virtual Doctoral Hooding Ceremony.
