Your ACE account allows you to log into various UNLV services and applications, including Rebel Success Hub, and on-campus computers with just one username and password. To protect your ACE account, you’ll also need to set up Okta Multifactor Authentication using a smartphone.

Your Rebelmail account is the university’s official means of communicating with you, and using your account is mandatory. When you activate your Rebelmail, you will have access to Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Google Drive.

You can log into the Rebel Success Hub with your ACE account to find answers to frequently asked questions, complete your financial aid verification, or submit your residency application and immunization records. You can also request help from various offices.

You can log into the Grad Rebel Gateway by using the email and password used when you applied. The grad student portal includes information on active program enrollments, professional development, graduate assistantships, scholarships and fellowships, contact information for graduate and RPC coordinators as well as required forms for your program.

All enrolled students who attend classes on campus must provide documentation of immunizations. We recommend you submit these as soon as possible to prevent possible registration holds on your account. Some immunizations do expire, so you may be required to submit updated immunization records.

Visit the Registrar’s Immunizations page to find out what’s required and learn where to submit your proof of immunizations

All fully admitted graduate and professional students taking nine credits or more per semester are required by UNLV to be enrolled in a health insurance plan that is compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). All graduate students must have health insurance coverage either through UNLV or their own provider. Make sure to complete the waiver form if you would like to waive out of the UNLV health insurance plan. If you would like to waive the UNLV insurance, you can email questions to insurancewaiver.grads@unlv.edu.

New graduate students must enroll in graduate classes via MyUNLV in the semester for which they have been admitted. Failure to do so may result in separation from your graduate program.

Full-time enrollment is 9 credits per semester for graduate students. Graduate Assistants (GAs) are considered full-time at 6 graduate credits.  To view a list of courses required for your program, visit the Catalogs page and select the Graduate Catalog.

View your account balance, pay your tuition and fees, learn about deadlines, or sign up for a monthly payment plan on MyUNLV. Be sure to pay your tuition and fees before the start of the semester to avoid late fees. The Cashiering & Student Accounts Office provides information on how much to pay, when to pay and how to pay, tuition payment plans, plus an easy-to-use calculator that will help you estimate tuition based on the number of credits you plan to carry.

Opportunities abound for getting involved in university life. Connect with peers who share your passions in one of our graduate student organizations or other registered student organizations.

All new graduate students entering in the fall and spring semesters should plan on attending Graduate Student Orientation.

All incoming graduate students are invited to attend Rebel Ready Week the week before fall semester begins. Rebel Ready Week is designed to help you gain a sense of belonging and prepare you for a less stressful first year and a more successful graduate school experience overall. Throughout the week, you'll also have the chance to attend breakout sessions on topics that interest you.

Additional Actions for International Students

Your OISS portal will be available 48 hours after you have been admitted to UNLV. Follow these steps once you have access to the portal:

  1. Use your ACE credentials to log into the OISS Portal.
    1. If you are having trouble logging in please email internationalgrad@unlv.edu.
  2. Submit an I-20 Request with your required documents:
    1. Copy of valid passport
    2. Confidential Financial Certification form (CFC): Available for download in “Step 4” of your I-20 Request.
    3. Bank Letter: Cannot be older than twelve months from the start of the program, must be signed, dated, and stamped by the bank.
    4. Graduate assistantship letter (if applicable).
    5. Transfer-in form: Students already studying in the U.S. must fill out an online transfer-in form in “Step 2” of the I-20 Request. The “approver” information must be the DSO at your current institution. You can email them the form by clicking on “send reminder.” UNLV cannot issue your transfer I-20 until we receive your SEVIS record. The UNLV school code can be found in “Step 2” of your I-20 Request.

Submit this documentation as soon as possible to expedite the processing of your Form I-20. The priority deadline to submit is six weeks prior to the program start date listed on the Form I-20. If you are having trouble uploading all these documents in “Step 3” of your I-20 Request, please email all documents in PDF format to internationaladmissions@unlv.edu.

Note: Students outside of the U.S. must pay the SEVIS fee (I-901) online and schedule your visa interview after you receive the Form I-20.

All F-1 degree-seeking students are required by UNLV to be enrolled in a health insurance plan that is compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Typically, students will be automatically enrolled in a qualifying health insurance plan that is ACA-compliant. Travel insurance plans do not meet the health insurance plan requirements. If you are covered by an existing health insurance plan and you think your plan meets the health insurance requirements, you can complete an F-1 Health Insurance Waiver. Students must complete the waiver each semester.

For more information, visit the International Student and Scholar Services Health Insurance page. You may also email questions to insurancewaiver.grads@unlv.edu.

All newly admitted international students must complete the international student online orientation module and check-in process with International Student and Scholar Services via the OISS portal. You must report to them by your program start date to maintain lawful F-1 status. You may enter the country 30 days before your official program start date shown on your Form I-20. Look for your check-in instructions in your Rebelmail. Schedule an appointment or video conference for assistance by emailing isss@unlv.edu.
