Students from Nevada whose household family has an adjusted gross income of less than $68,000 will be eligible for the Rebel Edge program. Rebel Edge combines federal, state, and institutional aid to offer full-time students free tuition and fees for up to 15 credits, along with a $1,000 annual book stipend.

Award Value

The Rebel Edge program is provided in two parts. One part covers any course fees remaining for most students after federal grants, waivers, third-party payments, state grants, UNLV scholarships, and UNLV grants have been paid to the student account, up to 15 credits. The second part provides a stipend directly to students in the amount of $500 in both fall and spring.

Initial Criteria for Incoming First-Year Undergraduates for Fall 2024

• Be a Nevada resident, DACA Nevada resident, or Undocumented Nevada resident
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Need Form (ANF) each year by the appropriate priority deadline
• Have an Adjusted Gross Income of less than $68,000
• Admitted to UNLV by the November 15 priority deadline and start in the fall semester
• Enroll in at least 12 credits per semester

Renewability Criteria

• Be within 135 credits.
• Maintain a cumulative 2.0 or higher GPA
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Need Form (ANF) each year by the appropriate priority deadline
• Have an Adjusted Gross Income of less than $68,000
