Take a pleasant 4-mile walk across a desert valley through the heavily vegetated Mojave Desert scrub, with striking cliffs as a backdrop. There's a side trip to a hidden waterfall and plunge pool with cottonwood trees, willows, and other shade trees. The hike generally follows a well-maintained trail.
