Description
Each year, students are welcomed to UNLV School of Dental Medicine and the dental profession at the annual White Coat Ceremony as they begin the second year of their studies. The White Coat Ceremony is significant event and a traditional rite of passage into the healthcare profession. The ceremony symbolizes the commitment of future practitioners to professionalism, ethical practice and service to the community. The white coat that each student receives is symbolic of their commitment to excellence in science and patient care.
It is a special time for faculty, family, and friends to celebrate the entry of our first-year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree students and our second-year Doctor of Dental Medicine degree students into the dental profession.
