The Office of Sponsored Programs, along with HCM, will be hosting a training regarding costing allocations for grants that have been flagged salary over the cap. This helps to ensure that payroll expenses do not exceed the limitations for the salaries of workers on grants that have salary restrictions. This prompts Payroll to automatically calculate under and over cap amounts. Over cap amounts are then assigned to alternative costing via the Employee Costing Allocation.
