Description
Take Back The Night is the oldest worldwide movement to stand against sexual and domestic violence in all forms. Events held bring communities together to empower survivors and remind them that they are not alone.
This year, since October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are leaning into the theme of reclaiming the night-and the day-and are hoping to center the idea of creating safe spaces for everyone, including those who are experiencing multiple forms of violence and/or are a part of marginalized groups because of gender, sexuality, race or engaging in sex work.
Event Schedule:
3:30 pm: TBTN Sign in & Opening Remarks
4 pm: TBTN March & Resource Fair
5 pm: Keynote Speaker: Lynn Comella, Ph.D., Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at UNLV
5:30 pm: Closing Remarks & Grounding Moment
