Description

Old books tell stories that would be lost if not for the existence of the material artifact. Those stories are told by way of a book’s provenance, that is, its recorded history of ownership; documented readership; or sometimes through author inscriptions, or marginalia. We’ll talk about connections among authors and historical figures that come to light by means of the physical book.

We’ll also look at a niche collection of female-authored novels with their own tales to tell.

Light refreshments will be provided.
