"Sangria": An MFA Thesis Exhibition

Description
Romina Villarreal presents "Sangria," an art exhibition that explores getting lost in the enjoyment of nightlife and club culture. Through painted figures, searing lights, glitter, and heat, "Sangria" explores the common narratives found in a night out on the town. Each artwork tells the stories of getting lost in the crowd, losing yourself to the music, enjoying yourself a bit too much, and forever chasing the ultimate high in the opulent city of Las Vegas.
"Sangria" is an MFA thesis exhibition created for the UNLV Masters of Fine Arts Program. The work displayed shows the labor of Romina through her last three years of graduate school, during which her paintings have evolved to document the expressiveness of humanity through portraits that show both the uppers and the downers of life. Each painting is created with peace, love, unity, and respect.
"Sangria" will be on view at Donna Beam Gallery from March 24 - April 4 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. A closing reception will be held on Friday, April 4 from 6 p.m - 8 p.m. Visitors to the reception are encouraged to wear their favorite nightclub attire.
The gallery is located at 4359 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
