Description

As part of the culmination of the Libros y Comadres book club, we invite book club members to join us for lunch on October 15, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Goldfield Room on the 3rd floor of the Lied Library for an engaging and heartfelt conversation as we have our culminating discussion about Tías and Primas: On Knowing and Loving the Women Who Raised Us by Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez. This exclusive event offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the rich narrative and personal stories within the book, bringing forth engaging discussion and being in community as we share our own experiences about the mujeres in our lives!

Event Highlights:

  • Book Discussion and Reflection: Engage in an enriching conversation about Tías and Primas. Share your thoughts and insights with fellow book club members and explore the themes of identity, family, and resilience that Rodriguez weaves into her writing.
  • Meet the Author: Have the opportunity to engage in discussion with Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodriguez. Hear about her inspiration, writing journey, and the impact of her work.

  • Book Signing: Have your copy of Tías and Primas signed by the author herself. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a memento of the Libros y Comadres book club and have your book cherished for years to come.

This event promises an afternoon of deep reflection, meaningful discussion, and a celebration of literary excellence. Space is limited, so please RSVP by October 11, 2024. Don’t miss this chance to connect with the author and fellow UNLV book lovers!
