By-Hand How-To Workshop: Sunprints with Ali Fathollahi
Campus Location
Office/Remote Location
Description
Join us at the end of August for a relaxing sunprint workshop with artist Ali Fathollahi. Sunprints—also known as cyanotypes— are cameraless photographs you can create by using sunlight to make images of objects on specially-treated paper.
The workshops will be open daily from August 27–30. Each session runs from 12–4 p.m. but you can arrive and leave at any time. Materials are provided by the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art. Guests of all ages are welcome. No previous experience is required. Join us again in September for Crochet 101 with Ailene Pasco (Sept. 18–21).
These workshops are part of the Marjorie Barrick Museum’s By-Hand How-To, a series of creative and restful events that will manifest almost every month until May 2025. The project is supported, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the state of Nevada.
