Session Objectives
- Examine the importance of an early diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in a primary care setting.
- Analyze barriers that prevent primary care providers from making a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in children by age two.
- Develop strategies and tools that can empower primary care providers to comfortably and competently make an earlier diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, including the Screening Tool for Autism in Toddlers and Young Children (STAT).
