Graduate College: Community-Based Participatory Research
Office/Remote Location
Description
Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) combines research and partnership-building to address community priorities through collaborative efforts. This approach involves diverse partnerships, including individuals from specific communities, organizations, academic institutions, and coalitions, with a focus on shared decision-making and active involvement of all partners throughout the research process.
In this workshop, graduate students will be introduced to the core principles of CBPR, critical points in partnership development, and key considerations throughout the research and partnership phases. Designed for students interested in conducting research with communities, the session will also provide tips and strategies for getting involved in Community-Based Participatory Research.
