Description

Join over 200 UNLV students for our semesterly tradition, Service Day. This Spring Service Day, go out and do three hours of service with various community partners around the Las Vegas Valley. Tasks vary depending on what the community partner may need but volunteers can expect to lift heavy items, be consistently moving throughout the day and doing all sorts of repetitive tasks. Please make sure you wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. No exceptions will be made for anyone wearing otherwise. Long-sleeve shirt also highly encouraged.

Volunteers will meet at the Student Union in SU Ballroom. Please make sure to arrive on time at 8 a.m. to meet with your group and participate in a short educational activity with your volunteer group.

Transportation is limited to only a few select sites and is not provided to Catholic Charities. We strongly encourage carpooling to the site to facilitate and make things easier for all participants. Please stay afterwards to join us for our post service celebration with free food and other vendors!

The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is Southern Nevada’s treatment center for children battling cancer and rare diseases. We are dedicated to advancing the treatment and prevention of childhood diseases through clinical expertise, cutting-edge research, and innovative approaches. Take the opportunity to help their foundation through service by being a helping hand to their Clinical Facility Supervisor, by consolidating storage units with items vital to clinic operations, and other similar organizational activities.
