Everything is Temporary

Everything is Temporary is the mantra Laura Brennan, MFA class of 2018, has adopted in recent years as a form of accepting change. Over the course of the last five years, Brennan has been documenting the family farm where she grew up and its gradual decline, particularly after her grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease followed by his death in 2022. It is an effort to recognize and accept death and decay.

Brennan is a recipient of the Nevada Arts Council Project Grant for Artists, which supported this project and exhibition.
