Program evaluation is the formal assessment of a program or policy’s value and impact within a community. It is becoming increasingly necessary for organizations to perform evaluation to secure resources and to improve and expand programs. This workshop will provide a practical, skills-focused introduction to the different types of evaluation, concepts and techniques, data collection methods, and best practices of program evaluation.
Participants can expect to learn the fundamental skills needed to participate in evaluation of a new or existing health program. Taught by Tim Grigsby, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the UNLV School of Public Health and Lily Helzer, Cancer Prevention & Early Detection Programs Manager for the Nevada Cancer Coalition.
