The CPI State of Research event will host a variety of researchers discussing cannabis topics from across many disciplines.

Dr. Nick Spirtos will discuss opiate cessation research and research in Uruguay. Michelle Tomasino will review clinical trials at UNLV and other schools as well as other cannabis research being conducted at UNLV. Dr. Duke Fu will discuss industry research and its interests as well as cannabis research in Thailand and Portugal. Dr. Chad Kinney will review research being conducted through ICR and give an overview of ICR. Finally, Dr. Rochelle Hines will give a talk about the components of cannabis, focusing on CBD and terpenes, as well as novel derivatives and connections to psychedelics research.
