Description
The public was invited to join the Vegas Chamber for the unveiling of The Lincy Institute and Brookings Mountain West at UNLV's much anticipated economic report, "Nevada Economic Development and Public Policy, A Sustainable Future for All Nevadans."
This report was a follow up to the successfully received "Unify, Regionalize, Diversify: An Economic Development Agenda for Nevada." This new report evaluated and assessed the demographic and economic trends for Nevada and its regions since the release of that initial report in 2011, while identifying opportunities and policies recommended for implementation for the next four years.
The panel was moderated by Vegas Chamber President and CEO Mary Beth Sewald with Michael Brown, executive director of the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development, along with Tina Quigley, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, and David Damore, Ph.D., interim executive director of Brooking Mountain West.
Attendees joined us as the panel discussed the findings of the report and what it meant for our community's future. Attendees were invited to attend to learn how Southern Nevada can transform its economic future by working in a collaborative and data-driven approach.
