Description
Baritone Dongmin Byeon and pianist Jae Ahn-Benton will present a recital featuring a selection of Korea’s most celebrated art songs. The program spans from the early 20th century to contemporary compositions, showcasing the evolution of Korean art songs. The recital includes works by pioneering composers such as Dunam Cho and Nanpa Hong, as well as pieces by modern composers like Gihwan Eom, Hakjun Yun, and Hyogeon Kim. Audiences can look forward to performances of iconic songs such as "Wishing to Return" (Gagopa), "First Love" (Cheotsarang), and "Boat Song" (Baetnorae), capturing the essence of Korea’s rich musical heritage.
Parking: Attendees are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage. Parking is free after 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Fridays after 1 p.m.; and all day Saturdays and Sundays. During these times, visitors may park in any staff, student, or visitor space free of charge. Please observe handicapped/disabled, reserved, resident, and emergency parking restrictions at all times.
If you are parking during enforcement times—Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.— you must park in visitor spaces and pay for hourly parking through the PayByPhone app or online. Once you find a parking space, log into your PayByPhone account (first-time users will need to register) and enter the location for the lot or parking space, your vehicle information, the time you need, and your payment method.
