Description
Speaker: Kara Jones
The UNLV Department of Anthropology hosts their premier Proseminar talk for the fall 2024 semester. Jones, a 6th year Archaeology Ph.D. student here at UNLV, will be discussing the significance of Ivanpah Lake. Located in the Mojave Desert, the paleolake plays a part in a larger story and understanding of the history of the subsistence and landscape in the area, but also aids in the argument for more conservation in the region overall.
This is the first installment of a semester-long, weekly series.
