Description

Ana Rangel Ortiz, soprano, presents a Doctor of Musical Arts vocal recital. Experience the rich diversity of vocal repertoire, with art songs by Manuel Ponce, Florence Price, and Samuel Barber, alongside vibrant arias and duets from beloved zarzuelas, including El Barberillo de Lavapiés by Francisco Asenjo Barbieri, Luisa Fernanda by Federico Moreno Torroba, and Las hijas del Zebedeo by Ruperto Chapí.

Ana is joined by collaborative pianist, Katie Leung, and guest singer Christian Quevedo, tenor.

Join us for an evening that celebrates lyricism, storytelling, and the fusion of classical and Spanish musical traditions.

Parking:  Attendees are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage. Parking is free after 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Fridays after 1 p.m.; and all day Saturdays and Sundays. During these times, visitors may park in any staff, student, or visitor space free of charge. Please observe handicapped/disabled, reserved, resident, and emergency parking restrictions at all times.
