Alt Breaks May Trip - Ecology & Conservation at Catalina Island

Description
Travel to Catalina Island Conservancy to learn more about ecology justice. This trip will contain various service projects that can range from trail maintenance to gardening, to seed collection. Participants will get a better understanding of social identity, social justice, racism, and other important topics and how they intersect with the topic of ecology justice.

$100 total ($50 deposit due at time of application, $50 for final confirmation if selected)
Admission Information
All students interested in attending an Alternative Break Trip must first submit an application and mandatory $50 deposit.
Applications are due by 11:59 pm on Thursday, April 11.
To apply, complete the following steps:
- Sign into your WebTrac account
- If you need to create a new WebTrack account, enter your student email address and the word "password" (all lowercase) as your password on the sign in page. This will prompt the system to create a new account for you. Then, check your student email for a verification email, follow the instructions, and finish registering your new account.
- If this does not work, first contact Outdoor Adventures at srwc.oa@unlv.edu or 702-774-7130 for assistance.
- If you need additional assistance, please contact Brigette Sohn at brigette.sohn@unlv.edu.
- If you are still experiencing difficulties after trying the above options, please email altbreaks@unlv.edu before the application deadline to express your trip interest and request further assistance.
- Once you are logged into WebTrac, use the below instructions to find our application page to select your desired trip and follow the application prompts provided:
- Select "Search" on the navigation menu, then select "Activity Search"
- Clear the selection in the search box at the top left portion of the page
- Select "Service Learning and Leadership" and search
- Select "Ecology & Conservation/Catalina Island Application & Deposit" to add to cart
- Complete the questions and check box for agreement to waiver terms
- Finish application by paying the $50 deposit
