Description

Native UNLV and the Las Vegas urban Indigenous community are collaborating to present the 3rd annual Powwow for the Planet. This event aims to champion cultural preservation and leadership development amongst Native youth, advocacy for environmental justice and the protection of Indigenous sacred places in Nevada.

Scheduled for Friday, April 19 (4-8 p.m.), and Saturday, April 20 (11 a.m.-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.), the two-day event will be hosted at UNLV. It will showcase traditional powwow dancing, drumming, authentic Native arts and craft vendors and food vendors.

Admission Information

No registration or tickets are required. This event is free and open to the community! It will take place outdoors on the beautiful UNLV campus. Please bring a refillable water bottle and dress for the weather. Chairs and blankets are welcome.

Parking is free on Friday evenings and on weekends.

Please note: all vendors must be pre-registered and approved by the Powwow committee.
