Key Research Area: Big Data

Why UNLV?

For over a decade, UNLV researchers have been leading groundbreaking efforts in big data, establishing the university as a regional leader in the burgeoning field. From national security to healthcare, UNLV is at the forefront of advancing big data research that drives innovation and solves critical challenges.

UNLV is located centrally in the West and houses the high-performance computing center, also known as The National Supercomputing Institute. Las Vegas is an ideal location for conducting research in areas such as nuclear, water, desert, and healthcare-related projects with very large data. At UNLV, impactful AI and big data research are driving new value and fostering synergies across interdisciplinary fields. The RebelX GPU cluster at UNLV supports AI research both on campus and within the Las Vegas community.
