Seat an Engineer in the Aurora & Buck Wong Flexatorium
Invest in the education of current and future UNLV Engineering students by sponsoring a seat in the AEB’s one-of-a-kind flexatorium. The flexible auditorium, named in honor of Aurora & Buck Wong, expands our classroom capacity to allow us to educate at least 1,000 students each semester in the space alone. A lecture hall by day, an event space by night, the venue features bleacher-style seating that can adapt to any need and state-of-the-art technology to support active and engaged classroom learning.
Gift Levels
Reserve your seat at the following levels:
- Front accessible row: $2,500 per seat.
- First two full rows: $1,000 per seat
- Middle two rows: $500 per seat
- Back two rows: $250 per seat
All funds raised through the Seat an Engineer initiative will be directed toward our newly established AEB Programmatic Fund, which will support experiential learning and student success initiatives at UNLV Engineering.

Sponsor a Workstation in the AEB’s Maker Space
Collaborative creation is the heartbeat of the AEB, and it all begins in the first-floor Maker Space: a student-centered laboratory that fuels innovation and supports large-scale engineering and computer science projects. In this space, UNLV Engineering students can team up on a solution for a Senior Design project that could one day be brought to market, or they can collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary student group and participate in international engineering and computer science competitions.
Gift Level
Empower an Engineer by sponsoring a Maker Space work station for $25,000. All funds raised through the Empower an Engineer initiative will be directed toward our newly established AEB Programmatic Fund, which will support experiential learning and student success initiatives at UNLV Engineering. If you are interested, connect with Kerry Sallee to formalize your intentions.
Naming Opportunities
There are more than 10 naming opportunities remaining for the Advanced Engineering Building, our college’s signature new facility that brings collaboration and interdisciplinary partnerships to an entirely new level. If you are interested in any of our featured naming opportunities, please connect with Kerry Sallee to formalize your intentions.
Signature Name for the AEB
A gift of $15 million remains to name our signature new facility. The Advanced Engineering Building supercharges our mission to Educate, Engage, Inspire, Innovate. We’re equipping the engineers of tomorrow and creating the research infrastructure that will propel our students, corporate partners and the Silver State forward. Partner with us as we build the future of Nevada.
Eastside Courtyard and Garden
A spacious, outdoor gathering spot featuring a desert garden with seating. During the day, the courtyard will be brimming with students as they move about the campus, and at night, the courtyard will be pulsating with the energy from events and receptions.
The naming opportunity price for the eastside courtyard and garden is $2 million.
Third Floor Open Lab
Throughout the third floor open-concept laboratory, transformational technologies provide the pathway for the next big innovations in water resources management, energy solutions and biomedical applications.
The naming opportunity price for the third floor open lab is $2 million.
First Floor Large Classroom
This classroom is a natural segway into the adjoining Maker Space. Here, students bring theory to life by using the flexibility of the space for collaborative projects, which can also spill out into the hands-on creation taking place in the Maker Space.
The naming opportunity price for the first floor large classroom is $750,000.
UAV Aviary
This aviary — not for birds, but for drones — will support research and advanced study in autonomous aerial systems development and autonomous grounded racing vehicle technology.
The naming opportunity for the UAV aviary is $500,000.
Second Floor Faculty Pods
These open-concept, collaborative office spaces will encourage interdisciplinary conversations and partnerships among faculty and post-doctoral researchers in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics and computational engineering.
The naming opportunity for each faculty pod is $1 million.
Third Floor Faculty Pods
These open-concept, collaborative office spaces will encourage interdisciplinary conversations and partnerships among faculty and post-doctoral researchers in water resources, environmental engineering, biomedical engineering, bio-robotics and energy research..
The naming opportunity for each faculty pod is $1 million.
Second and Third Floor View and Conference Rooms
A room from which a visitor can view researchers in action in the laboratory without physically stepping into the lab. The walls can be made opaque — a favorite feature by many AEB visitors so far — by electrical control, transforming the room into a private conference space.
The naming opportunity for the rooms is $500,000 each.
Bridge Connecting TBE and AEB
The skywalk connects our TBE complex — where we started — to the future and AEB. With all three buildings being in the same vicinity, it facilitates seamless interdisciplinary research collaborations.
The naming opportunity for the bridge is $1 million.
