The Academy of Engineering is a formal recognition program for alumni, faculty, and friends who, by example, demonstrate the College’s values of education, engagement, inspiration and innovation.

Categories for Awards
Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award
The recipients shall be UNLV engineering alumni selected in recognition of outstanding career achievement, and/or community service, and/or loyalty to the UNLV College of Engineering.
Distinguished Engineering Educator Award
Recipients shall have demonstrated achievement in teaching and/or research and/or service to the UNLV College of Engineering.
Distinguished Industry and Community Partner Award
The recipients shall be individuals or organizations recognized as having made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and have demonstrated loyalty to the UNLV College of Engineering.
Nomination Procedures
Nominations are accepted year-round and can be submitted by any individual or group. Self-nominations are also accepted. Committees established for each award category review the nominations, with final selections announced by the Dean. A formal awards ceremony is held in the spring of each year.
