About
Housed in the Department of Educational Psychology and Higher Education, the Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Development and Engagement (LDE) facilitates students’ understanding of and capacity for leadership in a variety of settings. Students examine various issues associated with working in communities and organizations such as power dynamics, social justice, and how identity influences communication and leadership. The certificate supplements other degree programs to support the growth of socially responsible leaders for an increasingly global and diverse world.

The Department of Educational Psychology, Leadership, and Higher Education delivers and provides instruction in innovative research that informs the educational process from early childhood through higher education. Our curriculum prepares graduates for leadership positions in diverse settings and roles, provides foundational support for programs across the university, and investigates educational policy to inform practice in P-12 through higher education.
