Mike Saltman is the managing general partner and president of The Vista Group, a real estate development company for office, retail, industrial and housing projects in Nevada, California, Florida and Utah. Saltman also founded and served as managing general partner of the Flamingo-Decatur Partnership and managing partner of Ford Aerospace and Communications Corporation Development, Las Vegas Technology Center.
Saltman earned his BA from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School. He has served as a staff attorney, general counsel and director of international operations for IOS and Shareholders Capital Corporation.
A long-time friend and supporter of UNLV, Saltman was nominated to the Foundation Board of Trustees in 1986 and serves on the boards Real Estate Committee. He is on the Visiting Committee for UNLVs Physics Department and the Law School Advisory Committee. Saltman and his wife Sonja funded the Saltman Center for Dispute Resolution at the William S. Boyd School of Law. They've also contributed to other projects including the UNLV Foundation Building Fund, the College of Liberal Arts and the UNLV football program. He is currently leading an effort to develop Midtown UNLV, a proposed project to revitalize the community surrounding UNLVs main campus.
