UNLV ASC Supplemental Instruction Services: Statement of Operating Principles

The ASC helps support students through their academic journey and timely degree completion. The ASC serves UNLV undergraduate students and offers an array of resources such as tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic success coaching, and more. Access to resources and services of the ASC may be limited and/ or restricted when services are in high demand due to space constraints, staff availability, and other limited resources.

UNLV undergraduate students seeking Supplemental Instruction services must be currently enrolled in the UNLV course for the Supplemental Instruction session they plan to attend. All SI Leaders have the right to deny services to students who make them feel uncomfortable and unsafe, or students who make any inappropriate comments. Students may also be asked to leave (or be turned away) from the tutoring lab due to inappropriate behavior. SI Session service hours and operations are subject to change. While SI sessions are offered on a fully remote basis, it is recommended students always contact SI Leader before signing in to ensure SI sessions will take place at the scheduled time. There may be times during the academic year when SI sessions are not offered such as days when the university is closed or classes are not in session.
