The UNLV Violin Studio is proud to announce a new partnership with the College of Charleston (CofC) through a dynamic student and faculty exchange program. As part of this collaboration, violinist and CofC Professor Lee-Chin Siow is currently in residence at UNLV, accompanied by two of her students. During their visit, they will receive lessons from UNLV violin professors Prof. Weiwei Le and Dr. Ambroise Aubrun, and join UNLV students in a public performance on campus.
Continuing the exchange, Dr. Aubrun will travel to Charleston on April 14, accompanied by two UNLV students, to present a joint concert with CofC faculty and students. This exciting collaboration highlights both institutions’ commitment to institutional learning, interdisciplinary engagement, and experiential student opportunities.
The program features an eclectic and vibrant selection of repertoire, including Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins, Sarasate’s fiery Navarra, Dont’s intricate violin quartet, and compelling duos by Prokofiev and Shostakovich.
This exchange celebrates the power of music to build bridges between institutions and inspire the next generation of performers.
