Human Resources will continue implementing an annual cycle for requesting permanent base salary changes in FY2026. These changes are part of ongoing efforts to support workforce planning, position budgeting, and payroll processing efficiency. A structured schedule with designated effective dates will be used for promotions, equity adjustments, and additional duty assignments.
The finalized annual cycle schedule for base salary increase requests is now available on the classification and compensation webpage. Departments should review the information and share it with college/divisional leaders and managers to facilitate proactive planning. Details for the first available cycle are as follows:
Cycle 1: Permanent Base Salary Change Requests
- Effective Date: July 2
- Workday Submission Period Opened: April 1
- Submission Deadline: April 15 (All requests must be fully routed to the compensation and classification team by this date)
Important Reminders:
- FY26 Questionnaire Requirement: Departments must complete the FY26 Questionnaire for Permanent Change to Base Salary Google Form for promotions, additional assignments, equity adjustments, and retention requests. The completed form must be attached to the Workday business process submission.
- Tracking & Submission Responsibility: Workday business process initiators are responsible for ensuring that all submissions are routed to the compensation and classification team by April 15. Requests received after this deadline will not be considered for cycle 1 and will be returned for cancellation.
Departments are responsible for managing their budgets accordingly. Compensation change requests for cycle 1 will not be included in the FY26 budgets. If you have any questions regarding funding or need to make adjustments to correct ledgers after budgets are loaded into Workday, please contact your assigned budget analyst directly.
Promptly submitting all required documentation allows for efficient processing of salary changes.
Please contact your assigned compensation and classification analyst if you have any questions.
