Q & A
Q: When and where is this?
A: Friday September 8 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Room TBD. Email Kim Miller kimberly.miller@unlv.edu for updates.
Q: Umm…what’s a Syllabi Planning Party…..?
A: It’s a chance to take time to look through all your class syllabi and put them into your calendar to get organized for the upcoming semester.
Q: Can I just like - come by?
A: Yup! No RSVP needed. Come by on Friday September 8th from 10am-12pm and we’ll help you get your semester planned out.
Q: Do I have to stay the whole time?
A: Nope. Even if you can only come drop by for a short time this will still be a great way to learn about on campus resources and meet other fine arts majors (students majoring in Architecture, Art/Graphic Design, Dance, Film, Entertainment Engineering, Music, and Theatre), and get prepped for a great Fall semester.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: If you want to bring your planner, laptop, phone, or tablet you’re welcome to! You’ll also want to bring your class syllabi and/or have access to canvas so you can look at the dates. We’ll be meeting in a computer lab for this so if you don’t have your own laptop - that’s okay too!
Q: Who’s all going to be there?
A: Other Fine Arts Majors like yourself (students majoring in Architecture, Art/Graphic Design, Dance, Film, Entertainment Engineering, Music, and Theatre) and people from the College of Fine Arts Advising Team
Q: I still have questions…who can I contact?
A: Send an email to Kim Miller (kimberly.miller@unlv.edu) and she’ll get back to you ASAP.
