More Than a Show – A Movement

The theme of the evening, “Dare to Dream,” challenges us to face our fears, reach for greatness, and embrace the goals that define our purpose. It’s also a call to action — as all proceeds from the evening will benefit the Legacy Theatre of Excellence, a new institution set to become Nevada’s first African American-owned and operated theater.

This historic venue will be more than a theater. It will include:

  • An Education Complex offering training in acting, vocals, dance, film performance, technical theater, and more.

  • An African American Entertainment Museum, featuring artifacts and tributes to icons like Gladys Knight, Cicely Tyson, Dr. Maya Angelou, and Ben Vereen himself.

Join us for a night of community, legacy, and the arts — and help lay the foundation for a cultural institution that will inspire generations to come.
