Brandon Williams is a third-year PhD candidate in the Radiochemistry Program at UNLV. He has been supported by the Nuclear Security Science and Technology Consortium, (NSSTC) since 2021 and works under the direction of Radiochemistry Program Director, Dr. Artem Gelis. His research interests include separations of actinides and fission products, centrifugal contactors, and microfluidics. Brandon has presented research at several conferences, most recently the 47th Annual Actinide Separations Conference. Through the NSSTC, Brandon is participating in his third consecutive summer internship at Argonne National Laboratory where he continues his collaborations on the solvent extraction of 99Mo, among other projects. Other recent accomplishments include 2nd place at the 26th Annual Graduate & Professional Association Research Forum at UNLV for his poster titled "Molybdenum Extraction from Nitric Acid Using Organophosphorus Acids."
