Yong Li, research director for UNLV’s Troesh Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, was appointed the co-editor of the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal (SEJ) at the 2022 Strategic Management Society annual meeting in London. SEJ is one of the leading journals in the field of entrepreneurship and is on the list of Financial Times Top 50 journals. His term begins January 2023 and he joins Melissa Graebner of the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Peter Klein of Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University as members of the editorial leadership team for the journal.
“The SEJ editorship is an honor and a great accomplishment for Yong Li. This new role is a testament to Dr. Li’s research career, ” said Gerry Sanders, Dean of Lee Business School. “He has done a lot of things to bring prominence and recognition to UNLV and this appointment continues that legacy.”
In addition to his role as the center’s research director, Li is also a professor and Lee Professor of Entrepreneurship at the UNLV Lee Business School. Li has served as an associate editor for the SEJ and a member of its editorial review board. He also serves on the editorial review boards of several other leading journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, and Journal of International Business Studies. He is a prominent entrepreneurship scholar whose research focuses on investment under uncertainty in the contexts of venture capital, crowdfunding, new venture innovation, and international expansion.
