Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX)is a fully-funded, nationally competitive exchange program funded by the US Department of State and the German Bundestag (Parliament). During the program, participants attend an intensive 2-month language school, followed by a semester of university classes, and then complete an internship in their prospective career field. Participants typically live with host families. German proficiency is not required to apply or participate.
The application portal for the 2024-25 program (August 2023 - July 2025) is now open to U.S. citizens in all majors and career fields between 18.5 – 24 years old at. The application deadline is November 1, 2023.
