UNLV students, staff, and faculty are invited to attend the second annual UNLV Community Engagement Expo!

  • Date: Tuesday, April 15, 2025
  • Time: 11:30 am to 2:00 pm
  • Location: UNLV Student Union, Room 208

Event Description:

According to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching:

The purpose of community engagement is the partnership of college and university knowledge and resources with those of the public and private sectors to enrich scholarship, research, and creative activity; enhance curriculum, teaching and learning; prepare educated, engaged citizens; strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; and contribute to the public good.

Join us as we explore the many ways UNLV is living up to its public purpose, hear from colleagues actively engaged in this work, and connect with others to build or expand your community engagement campus network.

  1. Visit the Poster Gallery to learn about UNLV faculty, staff, and student community engagement activities.
  2. Hear from UNLV students, staff, and faculty about their community engagement work.
  3. Participate in "lunch table discussions" about barriers to and impacts of community engagement work at UNLV.
  4. Gain knowledge about campus resources available to students, staff, and faculty to help support their community engagement activities.

Lunch will be provided during the event. Space is limited and registration is required to attend. Register here

This event is sponsored by the Office of the President in partnership with the Office of Government and Community Engagement; programming is made possible by UNLV Students, Staff, and Faculty!
