The UNLV Division of Research and the UNLV Sports Innovation Initiative will co-announce their Request for Proposals for both the 2024 Faculty Opportunity Awards (FOA) and the 2024 Catalyst Grants in early December. An Informational Webinar and a Grant Writing Workshop will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023. 

Informational Webinar: 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m., via Zoom
Overview of both the FOA and Catalyst Grants programs, budget and allowability, application packet preparation and Q&A. This round of the FOA program has updated application requirements and will provide an application guidance document.

Grant Writing Workshop: 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m., Hospitality Hall, Room 282 or Zoom

The focus of the workshop is preparing an application for the upcoming FOA and/or the Catalyst Grants. Although the focus is on the FOA and Catalyst grant applications, the workshop is beneficial for anyone looking to increase their proposal writing skills. All are welcome.

1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. - Interactive session on writing effective grants. Can't make the workshop in-person, join us via Zoom.

2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. - Participants will join breakout sessions for the FOA and Catalyst Grants to learn more about application requirements, work on grant sections, and ask program organizers questions.
