The UNLV Cannabis Policy Institute and the International Gaming Institute will feature the latest research and discussions on cannabis and gaming during the CPI’s third quarterly Cannabis Speakers Series event of the year, “Cannabis & Gaming,” on August 13, 2024 on the UNLV Campus.
The panel event will begin with two short presentations. The first will feature leading researcher Dr. Jeff Marotta, who will present his recent research on cannabis and gaming behaviors. Next, Dr. Marla Royne Stafford will discuss her current research on cannabis marketing and preview
her research on cannabis and gaming, as well as ethics in cannabis marketing.
These research presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by CPI Director Riana Durrett and IGI Executive Director Dr. Brett Abarbanel. The discussion will review the current prohibition of licensed cannabis activities at gaming establishments and by gaming
licensees. The panel will discuss the potential for the future of the intersection of cannabis and gaming. The panel will feature esteemed experts Bob Hoban, Jennifer Roberts, and Tick Segerblom.
While seating is limited to attend the event in person, interested parties who would like to participate can email cpi@unlv.edu for more information. You can also register for the live stream here.
